I went in to get a quote to replace the calipers on my Mustang. They quoted $1000 for two. When I told the guy I found the parts for $75 a piece ($300 for all four) he proceeded to explain that they HAVE to get their markup. I went down the road to a REAL mechanic and got them ALL replaced for $500. I would avoid this place completely or at least always get a second opinion. They then proceeded to call me a month later asking if I still needed the work done. This business is a joke. Driver beware….
I understand your concern with the price of the brake job. We do brake jobs here so the brakes are taken back to factory level and then we warranty them, nationwide for years or 36,000 miles. We very rarely have brake jobs that we have to do again. We do, however, do brake jobs, 3-4 times a week that were just done by another shop less than a year old where the customer was not happy. They were getting adverse wear, noise, vibration, etc. because the other shop did not spend the time needed to do the job properly, used a poorly trained technician to perform the job, or used cheap parts. We refuse to do this and therefore must charge more for better parts and charge enough to pay our highly trained technicians so brake jobs (and other work) does not come back later. Not all brake jobs are the same. I wish you the best with your new brakes.
