I chose this shop because I am from out of town, was broken down and their website states free in town towing with qualified repairs. I’m not sure what qualifies for a free tow but apparently not me. This should have been explained. I asked for a diagnosis and repair and while they had it an oil change. I received a text message asking about full synthetic. Whole lot of nope there. I’ve had nothing but trouble with migrating high mileage vehicles to synthetic. I responded conventional. They then offered a synthetic blend so I explained why I said conventional. I figured the word conventional along with the explanation, in writing, would be clear. Apparently not. They sent the authorization message after this for synthetic blend and I didn’t notice it. Within minutes of leaving the shop, I now have a tap in the top of the engine I didn’t have before. Imagine that. $64.27 in shop supplies for a $61.76 oil change and changing a module held in place by two screws and one clip in wire. The single part they used, assuming they used an OEM dealer part, they doubled the MSRP on. The upside is, I was able to drive the car out.
