Took my 2018 Ram 2500 diesel there. Everything quoted seems reasonable like change, transmission flush, fuel filters, air filter, cabin filter. Midway through get a call and it’s going to be $600 more for just for the fuel filters. Didn’t have them do the fuel filters and picked up the truck. Figured it may just be a supply thing and they really couldn’t get those. Took our 2016 Honda civic to get the oil changed, transmission flushed, and a/c diagnosed. Texted me an hour in and said the transmission flush would be more because it was a CVT and the fluid was more. That wasn’t too much more so no big deal. Then I get a text a few hours later that to check the A/C with the dye would be $540 just for the Freon, original quote was $240. Both times I have wasted my day leaving the vehicles with them not to get the service I wanted to have done and ended up making appointments with the dealerships for both vehicles. This place was recommended from a co-worker who said they were professional and did good work, but my experience did not reflect that. Service guys seem nice, but it just didn’t work out. Definitely seems shady that both times I got a text after they already had the vehicle that it would be substantially more money than the quote.
I understand your frustration on pricing. That is why we highly discourage giving prices over the phone. Cars are very different today and a standard service is no longer standard. There are more than 2 kinds of transmission today and there are 1,000's of different fluids out there. Likewise with AC. The new AC 1234fy is very expensive and we don't know which car may have it many times until it shows up. I will work with the advisors to stop giving out pricing over the phone. They are just trying to help when they give a price but sometimes it back fires. Sorry.
