Honestly the most expensive. $950-$1050 quote for a water pump replacement. 1.8hr procedure Any experienced mechanic would probably have it done in an hour with a coffee break thrown in. Part is under $200 One of the easiest ones to do. 2000-2006 Tahoe. I did it myself. Maybe they do great work- I'll never know. ***UPDATE: RE: Jeff's reply. First, I didn't call RepairPal, I called you. RP quotes are outlandish. Second, 3yrs/36 is of no use. Most parts are not going to fail within 3yrs. Road side assistance is also almost useless and one of the cheapest auto coverages you can get. But you know that. Otherwise you'd give two quotes - one with the 3/36 & Roadside and one without. I was willing to pay about $600 dollars. But I'm all in at $300 because I decided to update a couple other things and do some degreasing and cleaning - and I didn't even cuss once. Thanks for the encouragement.
We have an industry standard that use for most repair jobs. If you look up this vehicle on Repairpal.com, they quote the job between $943 and $1043 and that does not include changing the fluid, shop fees and tax. So, our quote is actually BELOW what RepairPal says is the range for this repair. Our repairs also include a 3 yr/36,000 nationwide warranty on parts and labor and 1 year of free roadside assistance. I hope your repair you did for yourself went well. If you run across any concerns or questions, feel free to give us a call. Jeff
