I lived in the area for 6 years and most of that time, we have switched between two local places and DIY. I spent a week looking into everything I could find out about in the 4-city area, including five review sites, the Better Business Bureau, and looking through their website. It seems to me, hands down, that I have finally found a service center I can not only go to for big things but basic things I might otherwise do myself. I also “Mom Approved” the location to my own kids and other family members. The Honest 1 on Ridgewood Ave, is not close to my house. I am driving a half hour. I made an appointment, arrived on time, and my car was seen to as soon as I finished the initial paperwork. Unreliable scheduling is off-putting. Habitually waiting up to an hour before your vehicle enters the garage means making up hours, rescheduling, even dropping tasks. Even as I checked in, I learned that several technicians were very familiar with the Make and owned similar models to my own in the past. I stayed through my appointment, and got to see how other customers were handled. There were a few more with appointments, and a walk in. Every person was given individual attention without waiting. There was no Front Technician with a “magic diagnosis and costly expectations” based on limited information, no vehicle history, and a client who does not know "How to term the issue" before the car is even looked at. They sat down with customers for consultations, not the burger joint wave to come the counter. Alternatives and guidance in approaching costly repairs that require more time or pricey parts that might otherwise delay all forthcoming service indefinitely. I had the type of experience that anyone who worked there would prefer when they are the patron at another type of business. There are plenty of seats, however, the turn around was efficient and did not require patrons to stand. The atmosphere pleasant, no loud noises echoing from the garages. When I finally went to pay, the services were gone over, and listed on my receipt to transcribe to the car log book. I realized my debt card was at home. They very patiently waited while I got to someone at home to help. When I was done, my car was waiting in the enclosed driveway, steps from the exit door. How could I not enjoy returning for future maintenance? Thank you
